A simple and quirky promotional set that's appreciated for its novelty, but criticized for its extremely low piece count and limited building experience. It's a fun, small addition to a collection, but not a substantial LEGO set.

The Mechanical Pencil set is a small promotional item, which generally don't appreciate significantly in value. Its low price point and piece count mean it's unlikely to become a highly sought-after collectible. However, its uniqueness might appeal to niche collectors, potentially leading to a slight increase in value over time. The retirement of the set is already in the past, which means it may become harder to find, but the overall demand is likely to remain relatively low. Investing in multiple copies is not recommended.
