📝 Our Take

AI-assisted editorial summary, grounded in our LEGO database and public community discussions. How we use AI

The Fire Plane is a solid addition to the LEGO City Fire subtheme. Released in 2012, it offers a unique take on firefighting with its focus on aerial support and water-dropping capabilities. The set includes a well-designed plane, complete with pontoons for water landings, and three minifigures to populate the scene.

This set is perfect for younger LEGO enthusiasts and fans of the Fire theme. The build is straightforward and engaging, making it a great choice for kids who enjoy creating rescue scenarios. It also has good playability with the water-dropping function.

Skip this if you're looking for a highly complex or challenging build. While the Fire Plane is a fun set, it doesn't offer the same level of intricacy as some of the larger LEGO Technic or Creator Expert models. Consider the LEGO City Fire Station (60215-1) for a more comprehensive ground-based fire response setup.

Investment Grade

⏳ Retired

The Fire Plane, being a retired LEGO City set, has shown potential for appreciation over time. Its reasonable piece count and the popularity of the Fire theme contribute to its collectibility. While not a top-tier investment, its rising price trend suggests continued growth, especially as it becomes harder to find in good condition. However, the lack of exclusive or highly sought-after minifigures may limit its long-term investment potential.

While sets like the Fire Station (60215-1) provide a more comprehensive ground-based experience, the Fire Plane stands out for its specialized function and distinct design.
