Mickey's Fire Engine occupies a unique niche in the secondary market, driven almost entirely by the intersection of Disney collectibility and vintage LEGO nostalgia. Because it was released back in 2000 with a tiny 27-piece count, sealed or complete-in-box copies have naturally appreciated as rare vintage curiosities rather than traditional part-out investments. While it currently commands a price trend that sits well above its original $9.99 MSRP, potential buyers should remember that niche preschool and junior sets can be volatile and rely heavily on the nostalgic appeal of the Mickey Mouse license.
