📝 Our Take

AI-assisted editorial summary, grounded in our LEGO database and public community discussions. How we use AI

Team Bus (Black) is a charming and nostalgic LEGO set from the Soccer theme. Released in 2000, this set offers a glimpse into the early days of LEGO sports themes, featuring a simple yet recognizable bus design and a team of minifigures ready for the big game.

This set is perfect for LEGO soccer fans, vintage collectors, and those who appreciate classic LEGO designs. The build is straightforward, making it suitable for younger builders or those looking for a quick and enjoyable project. The inclusion of six minifigures adds to the playability and display value.

Skip this if you're looking for highly detailed or complex builds. Modern LEGO buses, like those found in the City theme, offer more sophisticated building techniques and features. Consider sets like 60287-1 (Tractor) for a different, but similarly priced, vehicle build.

Investment Grade

⏳ Retired

The Team Bus (Black) set presents a moderate investment opportunity. Its age (retired in 2000) and relatively low piece count contribute to its increasing value in the secondary market. The set's appeal is primarily to LEGO soccer enthusiasts and collectors seeking to complete their vintage sports-themed collections. While not a high-value set, its rarity and increasing price trend suggest potential for further appreciation, especially for sealed or complete sets in excellent condition. However, the set's simple design and limited appeal outside of the soccer theme could limit its investment potential compared to more iconic or licensed sets.

⚖ Compare Similar Sets

Compared to modern LEGO City buses, the Team Bus (Black) offers a simpler, more nostalgic building experience. While lacking the intricate details and advanced techniques of newer sets, its classic design and vintage charm appeal to collectors and fans of early LEGO sports themes. Sets like 60287-1 (Tractor) offer a similar price point and piece count but focus on a different vehicle type, catering to a broader audience. Ultimately, the choice depends on whether you prefer a vintage collectible or a more modern, detailed build.
