📝 Our Take

AI-assisted editorial summary, grounded in our LEGO database and public community discussions. How we use AI

Space Jet is a charming throwback to classic LEGO space themes. This small Spyrius set captures the essence of late 90s LEGO design with its bold color scheme and sleek, futuristic shape. It's a great entry point into the Spyrius theme and a fun little build for space enthusiasts.

This set is perfect for LEGO collectors who appreciate vintage sets and classic space themes. The small piece count makes it a quick and easy build, and its compact size makes it ideal for display. It's also a great way to introduce younger builders to the Spyrius theme.

Skip this if you're looking for a complex building experience or a large display piece. This set is small and simple, so consider larger Spyrius sets like the Robo-Guardian (6949-1) or Reconnaissance Rover (6933-1) for a more involved build.

Investment Grade

⏳ Retired

The Space Jet (3013-1) presents a unique investment opportunity due to its age, rarity, and the enduring popularity of the Spyrius theme. While the piece count is low, its status as a retired set from 1999 contributes to its rising value. The presence of a Spyrius minifigure further enhances its collectibility. However, the set's small size and relatively simple design might limit its potential for exponential growth compared to larger, more complex sets. As always, condition is key; a sealed, mint-condition set will command a premium.

The Space Jet is a small, affordable entry point into the Spyrius theme, making it appealing to collectors who want a taste of classic LEGO space without a large investment. Compared to larger Spyrius sets, it offers a simpler building experience and a smaller display footprint. However, its limited piece count may not satisfy builders looking for a more challenging and complex model. Other small space sets from the same era, such as those from the Insectoids or Exploriens themes, offer similar value and collectibility.
