Rescue Base

Rescue Base occupies a very unusual space in the secondary market. As part of the short-lived Action Wheelers and Duplo Toolo sub-themes from 2000, it was produced in relatively low quantities compared to mainline System sets of the era. With a current market value sitting significantly higher than its original MSRP, it has proven to be a surprisingly resilient collector's item. The high appreciation is driven entirely by nostalgic scarcity and completionist collectors seeking rare modular preschool-technic hybrids. Finding complete sets with all specialized screws, tyres, and the signature screwdriver in good condition is becoming increasingly difficult, which continues to push prices upward. While it won't appeal to the average minifigure investor or modern modular fan, niche vintage collectors ensure steady demand. It earns a solid mid-tier investment grade purely on the back of its historical anomaly status and scarcity.
