Compared to modern LEGO City watercraft, the Kayak is much simpler in design, reflecting the building styles of the early 1990s. While lacking the detail of newer sets, its charm and nostalgia make it appealing to collectors. Sets like the newer City Coast Guard offerings provide more complex builds but lack the vintage appeal.
