The 1:87 Bedford Delivery Truck presents a unique investment opportunity due to its age, rarity, and historical significance. As a set from 1955, it's one of the earliest LEGO vehicles ever produced, making it highly sought after by serious collectors. The rising price trend indicates strong demand and limited availability. While the initial MSRP was incredibly low, the current market value reflects its scarcity and collectibility. However, potential investors should be aware of the risks associated with vintage sets, including condition, authenticity, and market fluctuations. Proper storage and provenance documentation are crucial for maintaining its value.

This set stands apart from modern LEGO vehicles due to its single-piece construction and vintage status. While sets like the Creator Expert vehicles (e.g., 10265-1 Ford Mustang) offer detailed building experiences, the Bedford Delivery Truck provides a glimpse into LEGO's early history. Collectors interested in vintage sets might also consider other early LEGO vehicles, but the Bedford truck's rarity makes it a unique addition to any collection.
