📝 Our Take

AI-assisted editorial summary, grounded in our LEGO database and public community discussions. How we use AI

Zoo Care is a delightful introduction to the world of animal-themed LEGO play for toddlers. Featuring a cute brown bear cub, a zookeeper figure, and essential feeding accessories, this bite-sized DUPLO set packs plenty of early childhood development potential into just a handful of chunky pieces.

This set is perfect for young children aged 2-5 and parents looking for engaging, hands-on roleplay toys. With oversized DUPLO bricks designed specifically for small hands, building is frustration-free and allows toddlers to quickly construct a simple habitat and reenact feeding time for the friendly bear.

Skip this if you are looking for a complex building challenge or traditional System bricks. Because this is a DUPLO set aimed strictly at preschoolers, older builders and adult collectors will want to look toward larger Creator or City wildlife sets instead.

⏳ Retired

As a retired 2014 DUPLO set with a tiny piece count of just 9 elements, Zoo Care occupies a niche corner of the secondary market. While sealed copies command a modest premium over their original $6.99 MSRP due to nostalgia and the appeal of the bear cub figure, it remains primarily a casual purchase for parents rather than a high-yield asset for serious investors. The set's long-term value is mostly driven by the inclusion of the animal figure and the decorated berry brick, which are always popular among families looking to expand their DUPLO collections affordably. However, storage costs and limited appreciation ceiling mean investors should look elsewhere for substantial portfolio growth.
