And here's why I think it is energy 1) If he had the power of life, I think he would be able to bring back things from the dead like chi in Kung fu panda (shifu brings back a flower to life) or make new living things, which he doesn't. 2) He makes this huge ball which seems like a ball of energy and also releases these projectiles which explode upon impact, hinting that he possesses the power of energy.
