Why I still buy official sets even though I mostly build custom now

Most of my building time these days goes into custom projects. I enjoy the challenge, the planning, and the sense of discovery that comes with them. But I still buy official sets occasionally. Sometimes I want to build something without thinking too much. Sometimes I want a guaranteed result. And sometimes a set comes out that I just can't pass up. I don't think it has to be one or the other. Both have their place in my collection. Just curious how others balance the two. submitted by ...
