Why Does Everyone Hate Skybound so Much?

So I've been out of the fandom for a while, and upon returning I was shocked to hear: Skybound is almost unanimously disliked. I keep seeing people put it at the bottom of their ranking, and while they've ofc got the right to think whatever they want... I don't get it. Like the stakes of Skybound always stick out to me.
