Why do you think the ninja stopped using airjitzu?(Read the body text)

The writers removed airjitzu and the elemental dragons because they don't want the ninja to be overpowered,but they didn't stop airjitzu with an explanation in the show like how they did with the elemental dragons(the ninja lost that ability in season7 because they couldn't control their fear).
