why did nobody tell me after the generational fumble of the movie an s7 that it got better??? (lots of yap)

ive been rewatching ninjago, as kid i watched the pilot to day of the departed, with the movie being terrible and s7 being just underwhelming and seeing s8 take the movie designs I gave up I heard that they where bringing garmadon back and thought that they had gotten lazy. this year I decided to watch from the pilot to dragons rising and HOLY SHIT im so blown away by s8 s9 and s10, s8 was a good way to get the new designs settled in and show that they wanted to be a little more...
