Why are Jay minifigures so expensive?
The LEGO community is discussing why Jay minifigures often command higher prices compared to other characters. A Reddit user, /u/folersin, observed that Jay figures from various seasons tend to be more expensive, prompting speculation about the reasons behind this pricing trend.
The original poster suggests several possibilities for Jay's higher value. Jay is a popular character, known for his intelligence, humor, and being the first of the original four Ninja to master Spinjitzu. The color blue, which is prominent in Jay's design, might also contribute to his appeal. The post also notes that while Jay is a favorite, other characters like Zane are also popular among fans.
The post doesn't offer definitive answers but highlights an interesting observation about the LEGO secondary market. The value of minifigures can fluctuate based on character popularity, rarity, and other factors.
If you're a fan of LEGO Ninjago, you might want to consider a LEGO Ninjago set to add to your collection.
I was looking through the figures of each season and noticed every Jay figure from each season is more expensive than other characters. I wonder why. Is it beacuse most people like Jay? Yeah I like him too. He is smart, funny, first to master spinjitzu out of the four, etc. But maybe they just like the color blue? Can't say it is not a good color. I personally like Zane the most. submitted by /u/folersin [link] [comments]
