What is the best source/option to buy lego pieces for mocs?

I built many moc buildings in bricklink (lego) studio, but now I would like to build them in real life also. What is the best way to buy lego pieces for it? I basically have no stock for it, so I have to buy almost every piece. I know about bricklink and lego pick a brick (and also webrick - I know its' not real lego), but I'm not sure where to start.
