What do people do for magnetic couplers?

Most of my moc designs require individual magnet holders or couplings rather than the full buffer beam, but train coupling part 2920 is quite scarce on Bricklink, as is magnet holder 2607, and even worse are they magnets themselves. I came across lifelites couplings but they don't seem to have an EU distributor and so I imagine shipping from the US would be very expensive.
