Were the Lego May the 4th promotions disappointing for anyone else?

I'm relatively new to lego so this was my first May 4th event that I participated in, so I'm not sure how others in the past have gone. From my perspective this was hyped to be an amazing time to pickup some lego sets, specifically from Star Wars, with the benefit of additional points, gifts and/or nice discounts. With the exception of very few items that sold out nearly instantly when the event began, this event felt more like a constant balancing act of weighing the pros of getting a GWP...
