The LEGO store in the author's city hosted a special event allowing customers to build upcoming February releases, including two Pokémon sets. This event offered a hands-on experience before the sets hit shelves.
The author, with the help of a LEGO store employee, built three sets: The Golden Retriever Puppy, Pikachu, and Eevee. The author built the visible torso, legs, head, and tail of the Golden Retriever Puppy, the stand of Pikachu, and the entirety of the Eevee set. The author found the building experience enjoyable, completing each bag in approximately 10-15 minutes.
This event provided a unique opportunity for LEGO fans to preview and interact with new sets before their official release. Because I am friends with one of the employees and everyone there trusts me, I was allowed to build all 3 of them (they didn't promote the event that well): The Golden Retriever Puppy, Pikachu, and Eevee.
