The lack of non-MCU Minifigures

I'm coming back to Lego after a very long break, and I've always been a Marvel fan. I'm going to get the X-Men mansion soon. I've been looking through other sets, and I notice that unless it's Spider-Man, pretty much all Minifigures are MCU versions. The MCU is great, but IMHO the classic, simpler designs look much better as Minifigures. Anyone feel the same way?
