The hottest Dino in the Galaxy

Sakiya Watanabe (N.A.B.E_mocs) has created a new LEGO build inspired by the Dino Piranha from Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2, which recently arrived on the Nintendo Switch. The Dino Piranha, a variation of the Piranha Plant, features dinosaur-like characteristics and hatches from eggs. This build pays homage to the innovative Super Mario Galaxy games.

The build prominently features the 2x2 round brick tube (part 65473), a key piece used in other Super Mario LEGO sets like The Mighty Bowser, the Spiny Shell, and the Piranha Plant. Sakiya utilized this part in various colors to capture the Dino Piranha's mouth and tail. The Fiery Dino Piranha incorporates newer leaf molds to create a scorching hot "mane." Additionally, Sakiya shared an alternate color scheme for the base Dino Piranha, which appears in the Good Egg Galaxy. The builds also include a LEGO rock 1x1 crystal to resemble the Mario galaxy crystal.
