The Brothers Brick has announced Seigo Aoki, who builds under the handle DeRa, as the LEGO Builder of the Year for 2025. This prestigious award recognizes DeRa's consistent excellence and impressive contributions to the LEGO community throughout the year. The selection process considered the builder's overall body of work, with several builds that could have qualified for the Creations of the Year shortlist.

DeRa's creations in 2025 included brick-built interpretations of zodiac creatures, such as a snake and a posable horse. They also revamped a tiger from 2024.
