Red Crowned Cranes in Hokkaido (Grus Japonensis)

The red crowned crane is an endangered bird species with habitat in East Asia. In Japan the Crane can be found especially in the cold northern island of Hokkaido. In East Asian cultures, especially in the Japanese culture the red crowned crane is used as an motif for art and stands for many positive traits and virtues.
