Rebuilding the white Jesko and the left door mechanism get semi-stuck on the steering wheel?

I'm wondering if I've done something wrong or if this is a common occurrence that I simply forgot about. On step 89 on the Jesko, you are supposed to attach the dashboard of sorts and the steering wheel to the chassi, on top of the left door's opening mechanism, and the blue piece keeps getting semi-stuck under the steering wheel, as the title says. I can move the mechanism but in time, the whole dashboard comes loose more and more. I don't remember it doing this the first time I built the...
