Question, why doesn't Zane remember the Tree house or the dead body on the bed if he was still in the room after his memory switch was flipped?

I realize he was basically starting at zero and everything, but considering this is the first point he remembers anything since, y'know this is after his switch was flipped. Now granted, he looked away from the bed in a very mechanical fashion, so maybe the doctor programed Zane to not recognize his body after his death, but Zane has no memory of this tree house. Which is odd be cause in theory, it should be his First memory. Also, if the plan was to cut Zane loose from all this baggage by...
