Progress…

The LEGO builder, /u/rsmith72976, has made progress on a large-scale LEGO build, constructing three 4x4 tables to serve as the foundation for a detailed terrain. The builder is currently working on the terrain layout, including an ocean side, green spaces, hills, and creeks, while also planning the integration of wiring hubs for lighting.

The build will incorporate a harbor section at one end, potentially featuring the Pearl and the Fortuna, if space allows. The "ground level" of the village will stand six bricks high, not including the top plate, due to the dock and creek design. The builder is experimenting with using Duplo bricks as filler to save on costs, but is finding they don't grip as well as regular LEGO bricks. The Pearl will have lights for the deck lanterns and captain's quarters, and the entire build will be wired for lighting.

The builder is seeking advice from other LEGO enthusiasts who have used Duplo bricks in their builds to add height to their MILS plates. The project aims to create an old village setting, which will simplify the lighting setup compared to a modern city.
