Price increases on Lego Castle parts - Pick a Brick US

Looks like a large number of Castle parts have gone up in price on the US PAB website. Notably, Horse Knight shields are now $2.25, up from $1.88, which now feels like a "steal", hah. The basic Horse Knight legs have gone from $0.75 to $1.25. Both torsos up by $0.25. Even generic items like quivers and visors have increased slightly, by $0.07 and $0.04 respectively. Did Lego give any indication of these increases being planned or are these truly a surprise? Edit: Looks like a fair few helmets...
