PLEASE DONT DO THIS

A concerning trend has emerged across social media platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube involving custom golden weapons and techno blades for LEGO Ninjago figures. Community members are actively warning fellow fans not to purchase these items from third-party resellers on platforms like AliExpress and Taobao, highlighting a serious issue with intellectual property theft within the custom LEGO community.

The controversy surrounds a creator known as Ninjagoko, who originally designed these custom weapons around 2022. Unfortunately, the digital files for these designs were leaked, allowing large-scale manufacturers to produce inferior knock-offs featuring substandard materials and poor paint jobs that disrespect the original creator's work. While the Taobao seller offers some original products, they also operate as a reseller for these stolen designs. The primary stolen items include four distinct weapons, techno blades, Morro's armor and hood, and the mega weapon.

This rampant theft had severe consequences for the original designer, forcing the college student to shut down his business for three years. Fortunately, the creator is now recovering and expanding his operations once again. Fans looking to organize their collections while supporting ethical creators should consider investing in a LEGO storage organizer to keep their custom pieces safe.
