Old Lego collection

Hey I would like to know if any brickheads could tell me more about the collection my girlfriends grandma has. She says she got her son got them for Christmas through his younger years, but he never played with them, they've been sitting on top of the kitchen cabinet ever since so I'm guessing a couple decades.
