Ninjago fans, do you think the element of time was wasted by the twins in S7?

I was rewatching S7 and thought the twins had underused they're element alot of the time they showed it, sure I understand the limitations of your element being taken and put into gauntlets you never used but the twins should know how to use their elements better than the ninja did, like in flashbacks it shows the twins using their powers well and I don't believe the time blades made that much of a difference in use of the element so i fully believe the twins were underestimating the ninja...
