New vs used parts – which do you usually go for?

When I first started custom building, I assumed new parts were always the better choice. They look cleaner, feel more consistent, and I figured they'd hold up better over time.But I've started using used parts more often recently, mostly because they're easier to find for certain colors and older pieces.
