New Republic Advanced Z-95 AF4-H Headhunter– Alternate Build of 75460 X-Wing
The LEGO community has been buzzing with excitement over a new alternate build of the 75460 X-Wing, transforming it into a New Republic Advanced Z-95 AF4-H Headhunter. This impressive creation showcases the versatility of the original set, offering fans a fresh and engaging build experience.
This alternate build, inspired by the Z-95 Headhunter, cleverly preserves the nose design of the X-Wing while making internal adjustments to free up parts for other areas. The builder removed the S-Foil Technic mechanism and shortened the rear hump cowling. This version of the starfighter, intended as a budget, local defense snub fighter, also lacks an astromech slot. The design incorporates a hinged mech chest armor piece, which serves as a visual feature while concealing a small cargo compartment. The Heavy ’95 retains its four ion fission engines but loses a pair of S-Foils and laser cannons, making it lighter than the X-Wing.
The builder extended the wings to improve maneuverability in atmospheric flight and redesigned the landing gear for a cleaner look when retracted. This sturdy build is perfect for "swooshing" around and fits right into a New Republic fleet, making it a striking addition to any LEGO Star Wars collection.
