I recently bought some trans blue 1x1 plates from PAB (Aus). The mould marks are so visible that to me I thought they were a defect. I took out some of my existing stock of 1x1 (the four next to them) and you can see the mould marks are nowhere near as visible. Even the 1x2 plates I got in the same order don't have as bad mould marks (just on the bottom of the photo). So I sent this photo to Lego and I got the reply in the second image.
