Modified Sentinel from 76294
BlockTalk Summary
LEGO fan and Reddit user /u/rossco311 shares an impressive custom modification for the Sentinel figures originating from set 76294. After ordering all the necessary parts to build two Sentinels from the official release, the builder felt inspired to redesign the iconic mutant-hunting machines to fix perceived flaws in the original design.
The original figures featured constantly bent legs with unusual articulation points and an overall emaciated appearance that left the creator wanting an update. To solve this, the builder crafts a heavily modified version that reuses as many pieces as possible directly from set 76294. They supplement the official components with an additional 119 parts from their personal inventory to achieve a sturdier, more refined look.
Custom builds like this demonstrate the endless creative potential of the brick system, especially when fans take official models and elevate them with spare parts. If you are inspired by this community MOC to tinker with your own collection or organize your spare pieces for custom builds, you might want to pick up a LEGO storage organizer to keep your inventory sorted.
I ordered all the parts to make 2 Sentinels from the 76294 set. I was super excited to have them, but once assembled, I felt the constantly bent legs with strange articulation point and somewhat emaciated appearance overall needed an update. Here is what I came up with using as many parts from the set as I could, along with another 119 parts from my inventory. Let me know what you think! submitted by /u/rossco311 [link] [comments]
