Mimic tips

Hey everyone! I'm trying to make a LEGO mimic using the chest piece. I've found that it can snugly fit 2bricks+2plates+1tile inside of it. I'm trying to get the fangs to be symmetrical with each other; I find this difficult because the clips I have are offset from the edge of the tile.
