Methods to protect and preserve Lego boxes?

A member in R/Lego suggested I post in this forum, so am forwarding it here. Need some advice. I'm a newbie in the Lego investment world but have played with and owned Lego my entirelife. I'm 52. I'm looking for some tips on methods to protect and preserve Lego boxes, including their contents, so they maintain their original condition as best as posdible.
