Lego Employee chrome brick

I bought a bulk of retro Legos in the New England area and found it contained 2 chrome bricks in display cases. The seller's son was an Enfield CT lego employee back when they had an office in Connecticut still. I looked these up on Bricklink but there's no context to the significance or scarcity of such an item other than it was an employee exclusive item.
