Isn't this contradictory?

In Season 8, when Pixal scans Zane, the scan shows him having lungs. This is the only incident where it's shown that he has lungs, at least in his new body. The purpose of having lungs is to breathe, of course, but since Zane is a Nindroid, he doesn't need to breathe. And it's implied multiple times that he doesn't need to breathe, most recently in Seabound, when the Ninja went into the city of Merlopia, and Pixal asked him why he was wearing scuba gear despite not needing it.
