Is Zanes Elemental Power somehow connected to his Infinite Energy source?

Maybe his Infinite power source is connected to his Elemental Power as Zane is over a 100 years old. So maybe when he was first built he did not have an infinite energy source. But when the old elemental master of ice gave Zane his powers It made Zane's power source infinite. Note: The Old Elemental master of ice gave Zane his power after visiting Him.
