Is this the reason why Pythor's mouth is largely open in all his minifigures?

All minifigures of Pythor feature him with his mouth largely open, and I wonder why... All the way back, in Season 1 Episode 12, The Rise of the Great Devourer, Pythor tried to swallow Sensei Wu, who stepped on his tail to stop him, and in Episode 9, The Royal Blacksmiths, Pythor swallowed the third judge. Furthermore, the capsule of anti-venom from The Anacondrai Staff it's supposed to ''make the user temporarily taste so bad that even an Anacondrai would be unable to swallow them''. So...
