Holy basement find

Spent the last 48 hours shifting thru a massive bin, picking pieces out and putting them together I'm pretty new to this actually, I don't know/think | plan on keeping them. I used an app to scan and catalog them. Questions if it's not to much trouble to ask: ———————- 1) should I keep the old boxes? Or should I just trash them 2) For some of the old sets I have bags inside the boxes with a varying total of the whole build. Should I leave them as is or is it better to try to build them? Same...
