Help mimicking this craft structure
A LEGO Ideas submission inspired a builder to attempt a similar craft structure for a diorama, but they are seeking help with the design. The builder is particularly challenged by the construction of the top panels, their connection to an internal skeleton, and the transition to the underside of the craft.
The builder is trying to replicate a craft structure from an X-Files submission on LEGO Ideas. They are struggling to figure out how to construct the top panels, which are made up of three panels on each side. They have tried referencing Millennium Falcon and Star Destroyer MOCs (My Own Creation) that use hinged panels but are still facing difficulties in building a similar structure in Studio.
The builder is reaching out to the LEGO community for assistance, hoping to gain insights and ideas on how to overcome these design challenges. They are specifically looking for advice on the panel construction, the internal skeleton, and the corner transitions.

I've tried referencing a few Millennium Falcon and Star Destroyer MOCs...
