Garmadon and Wu: Are they actually good mentors?

Looking back at the whole run, both Wu and Garmadon have been pretty questionable as leaders. Wu’s tendency to keep secrets and Garmadon’s chaotic nature have caused more problems than they've solved. If you had to pick who actually shaped the Ninja better as individuals, who would it be?
