G-05: Green Grasshopper Ranger

Creative builder and community member /u/FairytaleDeathcamp shares the latest custom creation in an ongoing Insect Super Sentai Summer series with the introduction of G-05: Green Grasshopper Ranger. This spiky speed demon functions as the voice of reason among the team's "secondary trio," balancing a serene personality with high-speed action.

The custom figure draws heavy inspiration from classic tokusatsu series, featuring neon yellow eyes that pay homage to Kamen Rider Zero-One and a helmet styled after a motocross rider. The character's motorcycle takes direct inspiration from Kamen Rider Black's Battle Hopper. To solve the impracticality of wielding standard sais while riding a motorcycle, the builder equips the Green Grasshopper Ranger with a giant telescoping sai-lance designed specifically for mounted combat.

This custom build follows several other insect-themed Super Sentai reveals by the same creator, including R-01: Red Ladybug Ranger, Y-03: Yellow Rhinoceros Beetle Ranger, and B-04: Blue Stag Beetle Ranger. Fans interested in seeing more photography of these custom creations can find additional pictures on the creator's Flickr and Instagram accounts.

For builders inspired to create their own custom tokusatsu minifigures and vehicles, you can keep your workspace organized by sorting your elements in a handy LEGO storage organizer before starting your next MOC.
