From leftover yarn to Classic Space: Benny in crochet form.

A while ago my wife asked if I had any ideas for using up an excess of blue and yellow wool. Without thinking too hard, I said, “Crochet Benny.” Instead of laughing it off, she recruited her mom, and together they got to work. Over the following weeks they crocheted more than 2,400 individual granny squares, joined them all together, and somehow turned that offhand suggestion into this enormous Benny rug.
