Facing of the glass for the upper/lower gunner for ucs millennium falcon

Set 75192 (ucs millennium falcon) Just finished the lower gun. It seems that the glass, bulges inwards, rather than outwards. Feels absolutely wrong to me, yet instructions say otherwise.
