Does everyone think lego is headed in a good bad direction organically?

What I mean is, I'm in my 30s, I remember playing with lego when it was more "block" Don't get me wrong, I love the newer stuff, I have a huge collection. The Titantic is my pride and joy. But I've noticed a trend where lego has been making pieces more and more shaped like whatever the thing is.
