Do Kids Like Stud Shooters?

Do kids actually like stud and spring shooters? As an adult collector I generally remove them, but keep them on my kids sets. After the initial build I don’t think I’ve ever seen the kid use them. He just uses his imagination and emits an audible “pew pew”. Much as I did as a lad.
