Do builders mostly end up disassembling their massive MOCs after displaying in Lego conventions?

I always wonder about the fate of those super massive MOCs you see on Lego conventions (I'm taking about those MOCs that span like the footprint of half a room/a whole room or above). I suppose most of them end up being disassembled and the pieces reused by the builder, instead of being stored away/displayed in a home permanently (unless you have a dedicated Lego room)? They simply take up too much space and unless you're running a Lego museum keeping them assembled doesn't seem like a good...
