Building the Acropolis at microscale: inspiration vs bricks

I designed a microscale Acropolis for my latest Lego Ideas project, which brings the famous Parthenon Marbles to life in a colourful street scene from Ancient Greece (see slide 2 for the full set). The Acropolis looms over the rooftops of Athens in the set, and I took inspiration from romantic images like this 1846 painting by the German artist Leo von Klenze which imagined how the Acropolis must have looked at the height of the Golden Age of Athens.
